Dagoretti North is one of the most vibrant and diverse constituencies in Nairobi. From hardworking small business owners to ambitious young professionals, from students chasing their dreams to families building their future — our people are resilient, determined, and full of potential. But potential alone is not enough. The Reality We Face Today, many residents across our wards continue to face real challenges: Infrastructure Gaps Some roads remain poorly maintained. Drainage systems in certain areas are inadequate, leading to flooding during heavy rains. Infrastructure development has not been consistent or evenly distributed. Youth Unemployment Our young people are talented and educated, yet too many struggle to find meaningful employment or support to grow their businesses. Without opportunity, frustration grows. Small Business Pressure Mama Mboga, boda boda riders, shop owners, and small traders form the backbone of our local economy. Yet many face financial strain, limited access to capital, and regulatory challenges. Essential Services Access to reliable water supply and improved sanitation remains a concern in parts of our constituency. Street lighting and security improvements are still needed in several neighborhoods. Trust & Accountability Residents want transparency. They want to see how public resources are used. They want leadership that reports back and remains accessible. The Leadership Dagoretti North Deserves We do not need noise. We need action. My leadership approach is rooted in three principles: practical solutions, accountability, and inclusive development. 1. Practical Infrastructure Solutions I will prioritize collaboration with both county and national government to push for: Road improvements Drainage upgrades Expansion of street lighting Proper maintenance plans Infrastructure is not cosmetic — it is economic empowerment. 2. Youth & Economic Empowerment We must turn our youth population into our greatest strength. I will support: Skills training initiatives Innovation and entrepreneurship programs Stronger access to youth funding opportunities Partnerships that connect youth to real jobs Opportunity reduces crime. Opportunity builds dignity. 3. Support for Small Businesses Our small businesses must grow, not just survive. I will advocate for: Business development programs Improved market conditions Fair and transparent systems Access to financial opportunities When biashara grows, the entire community benefits. 4. Transparency & Public Reporting Leadership must be accountable. I commit to: Regular public forums Open engagement with residents Clear communication on development progress Trust is built through transparency. A New Chapter for Dagoretti North Dagoretti North does not lack potential. It lacks coordinated, accountable, and forward-thinking leadership.
